On
behalf of all the Staff, Students, parents and broader school
community, I would like to welcome you to Doveton North Primary
School’s web site. The site has been developed by Rachel
Jones, one of our Grade Prep teachers.
Before you delve further
into our website and enjoy the records of special events and great
learning experiences, just take a moment to find out a little bit
about our school.
Doveton North Primary School
is situated in beautiful Doveton, just outside the City of Dandenong
in Melbourne’s outer South East. We have a student population that
ranges between 250 and 270. We are lucky enough to have
approximately 33 different cultures represented with families from
all over the world coming together at Doveton North.
We believe that if the
community is involved in a child’s education; that child has a
greater chance of reaching their full academic and social
potential. It is this philosophy that has lead to an extensive
volunteer program and an open door policy for parents and extended
family. The school provides a range of integrated services far
exceeding what’s usually expected from state primary schools.
The staff of Doveton North
Primary school set high standards both academically and
behaviourally. Mutual respect is the key to building strong working
relationships between all partners.
With a dedicated, hard
working staff and ever increasing parental support, students at
Doveton North learn in a challenging and supportive environment.
Children have access to programs that have attracted interest world
wide.
The staff of Doveton North
Primary School have formed a strong partnership with Good Beginnings
Australia to create the Doveton North Family Resource Centre. This
centre provides health and community resources to the children and
families from Doveton and Eumemmerring. A sensational place staffed
by a great team!
